Hello All,

Today at my surprise my grandfather left this sword from Thailand on my desk. He stated he bought it off a Thai military guy probably back 65 years ago.

I dunno man, it's possible that that is exactly what the markings are. Very cool sword though.

very cool sword Will, it is nice to have something handed down to you. when i was around 7 or 8 while exploring (snooping..lol) through my grandmother's storage closet in Italy i found a cane. sure enough i twisted the handle and out came a sword, my grandfanther used to collect guns and knives (so now i know where my addiction came from:D) I showed it to my grandmom and she had no idea that that there was a sword inside, in fact she used it for a few months when she hurt her ankle. Enjoy your new treasure.

Those pics have just reminded me of a pair of these that I left at mothers place a couple of years back... the markings are very similar on mine too. I don't know any of the history behind mine either, an aunt gave them to me over 20 years ago... will have to go and dig them out tomorrow.
