Santoku Takes the Gold Medal .....

I love to cook and love my cooking knives. My newest performer, the Santoku, takes the Gold Medal... while my usual high performing German knives have settled down into the Silver and Bronze Medal categories.



Yea... the Winter Olympics have captured me.. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> and, so has my Santoku. Everyone should have one!

I echo your enthusiasm about the Santoku. I absolutely LOVE it, for chopping, dicing, slicing, &quot;smashing&quot; cloves of garlic...and so on.

I'm also enamoured with my newly purchased small, serrated utility knife. It is incredible as well.

I have a fair assortment of Spyderco kitchen knives, and would say that Santoku is by far my favorite one.

Also, if you haven't tried the paring knife yet, you should.

Since I got my <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> kitchen knives, all my old knives just stay in the drawer or went out in the yard sale. I don't know which I like best, the Santuko or the paring knife. The paring knife is just like it's big brothers, and sisters, it bites fingers too.
