View Full Version : CQC-8 Drawing
I finished this up tonight (needs a few touchups, but it's nearly done). Drawn in ball-point pen, actual size.

Hi Jim, very cool :)
How do you do a touch up if it was drawn in ink?

I tweak it here and there. For some of the areas that are a little lighter than others, I'll go over them and darken them a little bit. Kind of even things out.
Believe it or not, pen is not horrible to work with. Many mistakes can be made and corrected by just drawing over the mistakes.
Another secret: I usually make the outline in pencil, then make it permanent in pen.

Man, you had me going for a few seconds! I thought this was another giveaway thread, LOL.
Nice drawing, makes me wish for the hundredth time that I had any bit of artistic talent whatsoever.

You have the talent; you just have convinced yourself that you don't.

Very nice indeed! With the edge of the paper visible in Image #1 and your excellent work on the knife's cast shadow, it looks like you can pick it up right off the paper and put it to use. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, guys, I appreciate the kind words. You're too kind, in fact!
I'm now working on a drawing of my CQC-14.
