I just got a FRN Dragonfly with the SpyderEdge. Man, is this thing cool! What are some of your opinions on this great little knife? I love it all: the finger choil, the integral clip, the pinky shelf... everything about it is awesome!

I don't own one yet, but I've always thought the dragonfly was a really neat little design. Glad to hear you're enjoying yours.

It's an excellent knife. It was my first Spydie.

Almost bought another today but went with some books instead

How is the clip?

In the land of knives, Spyderco is KING! http://www.geocities.com/willjan1128/SPYDERCO/SpyROOKIE51.JPG

I like the clip, I mean I think this type of clip is perfect on the Dragonfly.

However I would not want it on my larger knives like an Endura or such.

But even though I like it, it has one "problem" it is not curved in like the metal clips are. So I don't think it provides as great a grip as other clips when clipped to clothing.

I broke off the clip about halfway down while working one day, so I took the old file and got to work. I filed and sanded and buffed and now have a perfect lightweight, drop in the short pocket knife. It even feels better... I guess it was a lucky "break."

thanks for responding, guys. I think I remember Sal posting on an older thread that the Dragonfly is one of Spyderco's more popular knives. If you've ever handled one of these beauties, you will understand why!
In response to Rookie:
the clip is great. It feels pretty strong and holds tight to my jean pocket. I've only had it for a day, so I can't comment on it's wear resistance, but I think it will do fine. The "pinky shelf" is really cool, too. It gives you added stability while opening the knife.
Anyone who is looking for a semi-small knife should definately get a Dragonfly!

Hi all,
I have a PE FRN. It's cool. But you should also consider the SS 'fly. I have an SE blade SS 'fly and it is a really nice small dress carry.

RLR, that's a really great way to rescue a bad situation instead of complaining about it. Good work.

Well, as I don't have a FRN Dragonfly yet, I can't really give comment on it, but, I WILL make mention of my two CF Dragonfly's!
These two knives are a work of art. I mainly carry them at church and college. They make great dress knives, with the golden shimmer of carbon fiber glimmering in your palm....
BTW, I too love the design of the knife. Very useful, and handy.

Jaxon, I look forward to the weekends too! Its the only time I can sleep in to 9:00 o'clock without getting in trouble. LOL
