Nice little collection of hawks there Billy....My collection of hawks has been growing recently.....there is nothing better than a good hawk for SD...no other weapon, gun, bullet, knife, machete, can put a big man down for the count like a single blow from a tomahawk. I mostly collect Vietnam style Tactical Hawks, and in August of this year I am actually teaching a SD workshop on the use of the Tactical Tomahawk. I have a custom hawk maker who was kind enough to cut me a bunch of training hawks made from a practically indestructible material....so we are good to go and should have a lot of fun putting the hawks through their paces. Somebody once asked me why I keep a tomahawk in my living room...my answer was...just in case of a home invasion situation...it's my main tool to fight my way to the gun safes;)....Doc:D

Hi Doc! I have just recently become smitten by the hawk bug, but I can see it starting to become a real habit, just like khuks and :spyder:'s. I like the VTAC style hawks as well and plan on getting more in that style soon. The Condor is one tough little axe and that one will probably end up riding in my truck with me. How would you rank the others on the market (CS, ATC, SOG, RMJ, Fort Turner, Bear Mountain, etc.)?
I also really enjoy throwing them and the little mouse hawk in that photo is one of the funnest hawks to do that with.
I sure wish I lived close enough to take your hawk fighting class...sounds like it would be a real blast. Let me know if you ever do one in or near Florida.

I am a big fan of ATC and SOG's Fusion, Not a big fan of CS Hawks but they do hold up to abuse, Fort Turner has some of the sharpest Hawks I have ever handled, Bear Mountain has too many production deadline problems but they make OK Stuff, if you can get it delivered to you before the turn of the century,
not a fan of RJM....Doc:D

Thank you sir. That helps with my buying decisions. I already told my wife I would love to get a Fort Turner Iroquois hawk for Father's Day so my next hawk purchase would likely be another tactical. I'm thinking I may go with the SOG Fusion then.

cool thread, Billy...I always enjoy hearing about the larger bladed weapons and esoteric stuff that isn't much discussed...:spyder:
