I use the 204 sharpener.I sharpen the bevelled side at the standard angle but on the flat back side I lay it flat against the stone to remove the burr.I then alternate for a few strokes and it comes up very sharp.

Does anyone else use this method? Has anyone found a better method.

I do it this way because I didn't want to change the edge grind.I reacon if Spyderco ground it that way then thats the way it was going to stay.

Hi Cutler. I've done that. works well. Edge is not quite as strong for hard use (because it's thinner). 'Pends on what your cuttin'.

I do find I have to touch it up after heavy cutting. What is the long term result of sharpening both sides. With the serrations I mean? Do they eventually disappear? I really love my Spydercos so I take good care of them.
