Finally got a liner lock I can trust. Love the blade shape, ergos, grind, everything. Wegner Jr. has a full spacer (i.e., no exposed "blade" when closed to be damaged by change, other junk in pockets) and the best opening "THWACK" going.

Question - the liner does "walk" over all the way under moderate pressure. This is not a big issue as the knife has ZERO blade play. Just wondering if this is common. I had liner locks from two other reputable companies that failed miserably.

Love the Wegner...

YEAH!!!

Hi RLR. There is a certain amount of wear that is built into the ramp on the linerlock. firm openings are easier on the liner than "thwack" openings.

The Wegner is a nice piece, both in design and craftsmanship.

Thanks Sal. Just to clarify: by "thwack" I mean the actual sound. Just that solid feel. I never wrist flick my knives not to cause undue stress.

The liner just "walks" to the other side (i.e., all the way over) if I exert pressure against a thicker twig, or something. I just hope no blade play develops. I love this design, and in particular, my knife. I hand picked it and everything is near perfect.

Cheers,
