I'm looking for some advice about purchasing a wetstone (whetstone)?

Looking to spend about $70 or less for the whole set, and I'm hoping to buy something that will sharpen my shun kitchen knife, UKPK among other pocket knives, a Gransfors and Bruks axe and if possible a straight razor that I received as a gift.
This will be my fist sharpening stone(s), and I don't know too much about grit or stone quality.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

get a sharpmaker, it will take care of your sharpening needs.

have a look at the Spyderco Sharpener Catalog:

http://spyderco.com/catalog/list.php?genre=sharpener&offset=1&per_page=10

you can add diamond rods for serious metal removal and ultrafine rods for utrafine edge polishing. I am certainly no sharpening expert, but I turned an out of the box dull knife, a non-Spydie, of course, into something which pops hairs off my forearm today, using diamond rods to rebevel it, medium and fine Sharpmaker rods and ultrafine rods at the end.

cheers,
