Hello all,

I am a former Gulf War Vet, I was given a Spyderco Endura by my sqaud Leader my first day at my unit. I used the same knife for 7 years, and let me say it saved my life, and that of my fellow soldiers many times. In 82 Parachute drops, I never lost it. Now finally, at home doing repairs on my father's house, I caught the clip on a doorframe and it broke off and the clip portion fell into the cold air return, and I still have'nt found the little piece. I was crushed, it had more than just sentimental value for me, it was a talisman that saw me through some heavy ordeals.

Is there anyway to have it repaired? Please let me know. Thanks. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Look on this website and see where you can call Spyderco. I know that they will replace your broken clip with a new metal one for no charge. They did that for my Delica last two years ago.

I have the serrated Endura in stock with the Zytel clip.If repairing yours is not desired then this is an option.

I have an Endura whose clip was replaced with a metal one and, if you didn't know it was a replacement, you'd swear it was original equipment.

Cheers,
Brian

Hi CJohnson. Welcome to the Spyderco forum. Thanx for the story and the memory.

During the Gulf war, whenever someone on the line wrote to us, we sent a few dozen Enduras to him to pass out to his &quot;co-workers&quot;. We send hundreds. What color is yours?

I think now there is a small fee for &quot;re-clipping&quot; an old Endura with a metal clip, but well worth the cost in your case, IMO.

Sal,
I was also in Desert Storm. The Endura I carried I bought while I was on leave before going over. Color? I take it you made special ones for the troops over there? Can you give more information?

Zabrewolf. We didn't make special versions, but at the time, we did make more colors. We sent what we had in stock at the time.
