Am fairly new to the Spyderco knife. Very impressed though. Gets a lot of stick! Favour the palin edge needs touching up. Would you reccommend returning to Golden for sharpening?? I live in UK.

Hi and welcome! No I wouldn´t send it to Golden. Get a Spyderco Sharpmaker 204 and then practice for some time. It took me about 2 weeks of practicing before I was able to put on a good edge on my knives. But the practicing time really payed off. Today, all my knives are really sharp!

Hi Ste1070. Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.

I agree with dePaul. It will be your best overall long term solution, provide a new skill and sharpen up most of the cutting things you own.

G'day ste1070,

I also live in the UK.

The Sharpmaker is great Investment. The instructional video that comes with is also excellent and also gives you a look at Sal.

Give Martin Needle a ring at Rays Direct Ltd: 08700 729734, he has them in stock. I purchase a Sharpmaker from him this month £39.99 including postage. Quick efficient service and he also sent me a Spyderco catalog. He also has a good range of knives

Regards

Drew
