so as not to highjack evil d's thread, i started this one. a couple of his oriental themed artworks reminded me of one of my own.
i did this a few years ago, with the intention of having it tattooed on my back, but reconsidered because i was unsure about someone else recreating my artwork for me.
hope you guys like it.
once again, props to evil d for his fantastic artwork!

the contrast of the simple in the background and the complex in the foreground....
the blending of the two seamlessly... WOW

That's pretty sweet.....dot matrix style?

There was a guy in my senior advanced art class in high school who did a huge portrait of Ali knocking out Frasier and he did it in all ink dot matrix and from 5 feet away it looked like a black and white poster....probably the best pen and ink i've ever seen, and from a high school kid at that.

Both of those pictures are very well done. I especially like the first one. I'm assuming you do something like that as your profession as that is outstanding. I hope I'm not out of line though, but, putting that on your back as a tattoo is sort of lame and a bit tacky. That's an awesome pic on it's own. Don't ruin it. But that's just my opinion.

Probably for the best, otherwise people would ask why would you have a CRKT hisshou tattooed on your back. :p

not my profession, just a hobby.

actually, when i did this drawing, i wasn't even aware of the crkt hissou. i just did my interpretation of a katana that i had seen in the past. i tried to recreate the hamon and handle wrap as best i could.
