View Full Version : Cpm-440v?
Found these while looking for a native as my beater. I ASSUME they're fake as I've never heard of CPM-440V. That and they're both marked 78 of 500 :P

Not at all, its a different name for S60V steel.
Plus its a collectors marked model.
These look real to me.

Those are legit. Spyderco used 440V on quite a few models including the native in frn and g10.

Like you said, they seem real. There was a limited run of these released (500) and this guy managed to snag both of #78. Probably was a collector's club member, as certain numbers of the first 200 go to the member with that assigned number. There was no special engraving to indicate whether these particular knives were for a collector's club member, as all 500 were engraved IIRC.

Both shown are real deal, genuine spydercos :)
Ah, it looks like I messed up. I never knew that about the collector's club and CPM-440V. Thanks for the info.
