How can I find out what all the different icons used on the forum mean? Envelopes on the left side for example.
Curious,

Generally speaking, if you hover your mouse over one, it will tell you what it is. The envelopes are an exception. Blue and closed means a thread with few posts and no new ones since your last visit. Orange and closed means a thread with more than a few posts and no new ones since your last visit. Yellow and open means a thread with new posts. A right angle arrow superimposed on any envelope signifies a thread you have posted to. A padlock superimposed on an envelope means the thread has been locked by a moderator.
EDITED TO ADD - just found an exception to that, if you hover on an envelope with a right angled arrow on it, it will tell you how many posts you have in that thread, and when the last one was made. Learn something new every day. :)

Forums usually have a legend somewhere on the page where threads are listed that describes the icons and their meanings. Spyderco's is near the bottom. Just scroll down. :)
