Dear folks at Spyderco,

Is it possible for you folks to blast our names on the pearly millie to commemorate our loyalty at the forums? I know its going to be lots of work... *hee-hee* Just felt that the knife would have a better sense of longing to its owners...

Samo, any useful engraver should be able to do that. The cost here i Sweden is something like 18 bucks.

I second Samo's motion.

Are we all agreed? Aye, aye.
Motion carried.

Ummm... speak about added cost, how much more would it cost for those guys at the laser room to blast our names on the blade Sal?

I do not want your name on my blade sam,

Spyderco is not a custom-shop, I mean this knife is special allready.
just my thoughts

Greetings

geez! lighthen up will ya! I just want to know if its possible to have the forum piece personalised... Well, I actually don't mind having my name zapped on my order... not yours dude! *heh-heh!!* The machines at the laser room is very capable of doing so.. But if the cost is a wee-bit too expensive... I'll settle for a number.. It'll be a lot more nicer if my knifemaker knows me by my name -- not by the number.. *heh-heh!*

Not to be a killjoy, but it's special requests like these that help create all of the "where's this new model?" posts. I'd much rather see the Vesuvius and G-10 Lum (amongst others!) ship than get my name scratched onto a blade. I'm happy with my "name" being Collector Number 68.

It actually gets me a little miffed to see all of these sprint runs before I receive my Collectors' Gunting. I'm not planning on seeing the Chinese Folder until Q2 01 - long after it's on the shelves. I signed up with the belief that the first 200 would be the FIRST 200.

Loyalty to the forums is one thing, but my (and about 199 other people's) loyalty is backed by a $$ commitment to buy at least one of every knife Spyderco produces.

Ummm, you can't win 'em all the time can you? I agree to the fact that it's tough to keep up with the collector's programme because most of you previlaged lot (#200) would have to committ with the ca$h everytime a new knife ships out. I guess having my initials scratched or zapped on the blade is my option... After all, since it'll be personalised, its harder to part with the forum millie... I have no intentions to sell the blade or trade it, just for use and keeps.. So, ligthen up guys --- just merely a suggestion.. *heh-heh!*

I'm sure they know you by name now Samo.Could be a time thing too. We've been told the reason our collectors knives are slow coming through is due to a back log at the engraving.I've yet to receive my chinook and Gunting yet I've had them for sale for about 6 weeks now.BTW I've been told the Chinook is on it's way with others coming soon.Part of the thrill of collecting is finding that elusive model you're after. With the collectors club we're gauranteed to get one numbered, just need to be patient. It must be alot of work for Kelly to keep it all under control.I for one appreciate the efforts of those involved.
