back in the early "90"s, when i first got into knives, one knife in particular caught my eye. every knife magazine i bought had an ad for it.
but due to my lack of funds at the time , i never aquired one.
i went to smokey mountain knife works and saw "my" knife a few times, but never had the funds.
later, on a return trip, i learned that it had been discontinued.
what they did have was it's little sibling, and on clearance for $43.00.
i passed on it at first, but then on my way back from gatlinburg, the urge overtook me, and with some prompting from my wife, i stopped and bought it.
just last week, "my" knife came up for trade, and i made an offer.
after some negotiation, we made a deal.
now i'm the proud owner of one of my grails.
pictured is my kershaw random task and lefty mini task.
i think they make quite the pair!

Congrats. I always like the looks of the Random Task myself. Never did get one either.

Nice to see they brought it back.

thanks ghostrider!
this is the old original version.
the new ones coming out have textured g10 scales and the steels different.
i may pick one of those up when they get released, just so i'll have a user and don't have to carry this one.

Nice pair. Those old Tasks with smooth G10 are classics of the Kershaw lineup.

Sweet Kershaws....Me...I haven't found any knives that rocked my world of recent...the only one.... which I'm carrying now as an EDC is the Meyerco Wharning, never thought I would like it this much... it rides side by side like a leech on my Rock Salt....Doc:D
