I have read article's by this well known writer for years. This is a very impressive knife, the double steel liners and almite are great. It fits well in the hand. Another I got to trade with but it's being considered as a replacement for the Civilian for duty carry. You may want to double check the handle material, my understanding is that it's almite coated aluminum. If you look close, you can see there is only a single scale per side that's coated halfway deep creating the illusion of liners under a scale.
The Ayoob is a nice slim carry that has a very smooth opening action and does feel great in the hand.

The Ayoob is my main EDC knife, would not leave home without it. I am not up on the techie side of things, just know that it is a good fighting tool.

Too bad the serrated version is discontinued.
