You say you want a Gunting ($90) or a combo edge mili ($90); how about a Lil' Temperence

($110) or Bob Lum C65 ($115)? Then look no further than one of our own, GlassHartt.

You can e-mail her ( GlassHartt@aol.com ) for

a comprehensive list I myself am eyeballin' the Tim Zowada C56 ($85) & "The

Spyderco Story" ($45)( glad I waited! ) A

word of note : her husband's unit was called

to active duty so right now she needs our

support.

Affordable as in new or used?? I don't know about you but
I'm a firm believer in careful secondary market buying.

Because I'm not all hung up about buying used or NOS
I've found that any knife ( and lots of other things) can be
mine for a fraction of the new retail price. I get 95 to 100%
of the use of the intem at about 50 to 60% of the new price.

So affordablity for me isn't an issue.

Hey Tightwad :

I received my C59 "Shabaria" NEW in the box As GlassHartt is a Law enforcement
dealer, I don't think she would sell "used".

My point was that there is a LOT of money to be
saved buy shopping the secondary market, i.e.
clearances, closeouts, e-bay for new old stock,
and lastly used.

If a person can wait a bit then they can take advantage
of the price cuts aviailable in these markets. Buying new
is very often an excersice in wasting money and sometimes
lots and lots of it. I seldom pay full new price for anything.
I've learned that by doing my homework on what I want to
buy or need that I can always find a better price than retail.
Always.

I a person chooses to buy at full retail that's fine. As for me
they don't call me Tightwad for nothin'

Tightwad: Point taken. Just don't wait 'til it's long gone and becomes more of a "collectors item". Merely less than retail will be quite the bargain then and you could hurt yourself if you kick hard enough. Balance is the key!

ATE: Thanks for the heads up! Just e-mailed Glasshart and will be happy to help out. God bless those who proudly defend our freedom and way of life!

One can't get a better deal on new Spydies
than from GlassHartt ; case in point : my C59
"Shabaria" which I either didn't have enough
money for, or proved elusive. She did get
"scooped" however, on the C12BK "Matriarch".
I got it ( the C12BK ) from 1SKS for about
$50, she lists it for $70. No matter, on "high end" Spydies like the Gunting, Chinook, Lil'Temperence, Bob Lum C65, not to
mention the Zowada C56 she "rules the roost".
BTW my "Shabaria" was only $90. Just try and
beat that price! Anyone?

GlassHartt has the SS police for $80 in any
edge combination ( PE,50/50,SE ); as for the G-10, e-mail her at GlassHartt@aol.com. If she doesn't have it on hand, she can get it.

I tried to email GlassHart at the aol address that was given in order to get a list of her wares, but the email got bounced back to me. Does she have a different address or did I goof? I would love to see what she sells and for how much...
