To : ALL
I was perusing www.bestknives.com website and
I happened upon this older <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> ( they had the Walker C22BK too! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) it looks to be a
compromise between the "Endura" & "Delica".
Do any of you forumites own one? It had a price tag of $79.98 plus shipping, worth it?
BTW check out this site and
www.dirtcheapknives.com for affordable, older
<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s. Just my two cents.

Dear Al,
The Standard is one solid knife. Had one and gave it away a coupla years ago. The G-10 scales are totally AWES<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>ME! Any Spydernut should not miss out on this one! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

For ages I wanted a Delica with G-10 scales, and then I found the Standard. Just what I wanted <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
For a size comparison, it's just about an identical size to the Delica.

Hey Samo :
If you think the G-10 scales are awesome on
the C5G, you should check out the C25G
Centofante! How'd they get that groove for the Secure-Lock in there?! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

The two knives that started me knife collecting were the Standard and Delica. I went to a dealer with the intention of buying a Delica because of a favorable magazine review. The Delica (frn) and the Standard (G10)looked to be pretty much the same although the Standard was obviously built with better materials and cycled open and close much smoother. The Delica was very lightweight with a reversable clip. I couldn't decide which one I obviously liked less so ended up buying both.
The Standard is very comfortable in your pocket as well as in your hand. It was my EDC carry for quite a time before I started acquiring other knives. I used it more than the Delica because it had a better quality feel. (This is very subjective).
Is the Standard a Delica on steroids? Maybe. (Although I think the Standard may be slightly smaller in length to the Delica, the Standard, imo, seems heftier). The price listed by ATE might be about what I paid for mine a few years back. I think it's worth it.

The blade thickness on the Standard is 3 mm. The blade thickness on the Delica is 2.5 mm.
The Standard is G-10 with steel liners. The Delica has no liners. The Standard is much beefier.

Hey Al ~ I have for a short while, posession of the Centafonte II. Bought it in Tempe, Arizona just to loose the knife in its zippered Spydie pouch to some thieves.. Anyway, its an AWES<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>ME knife too! Get the Standard while you can cos I think you're gonna really love it! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
