I think what u have is a factory refurbised model.does the clip have 3 screws holding it on? and also you can tell by the type steel it is! is it AUS-8A or ATS-55? either way its a great knife that will give you many long years of service...but! i bet ya it wont be your last spyderco, the full SE would work great for fire and rescue use..welcome to the forum..Ron
The Delica is durn near a perfect knife for FF/rescue type applications. The Delica was my first Spyder and was my EDC for years. I have been in EMS now for 9 years and will carry nothing but Spyderco's on the job as they have proven themselves time and time again and you can't beat the customer service.

thanks for the advice. the knife is vg-10 steel and the clip seems to be almost molded on. there is a hole in it too

i would but i am not great on computers. i am pretty sure it is the delica lightweight. it has the same clip (is it removable?) and is made out of the same vg-10 steel. there is a pic in the online catalauge. dont i feel stupid! i just found the box. it says delica lightweight! sorry all. :-) the only thing is it is the C11SBK and the one online is the C11BK. does the s mean serrated? thanx
If the steel is VG-10, you have one of the newer style delicas. The clip should be a single barrel bolt holding the clip on. This is a removable/reversable clip. The "S" In C11SBK does stand for serrated. Hope this helps ya out delicrazy......
By the way, delicrazy is a pretty unique name, how did it come about?

The best way is to use two nickels as screw drivers to loosen the barrel bolt.Remember to use some clear nail polish as thread lock when you reinstall the clip.
