Hi, I'd like to present one of my creations, a "claw". Features plain edge, combo serrated edge, emergency gurtel trimmer (just inside the beer bottle opener, and a non thumb slip zone. I would like to hear your opinions on this, as I have several other designs I'd like to show. Unfortunately, it is just a computer drawing, as I don't have the skills or/and technology to make it real but I would gladly give the project(s) to someone interested, at no costs at all.

I placed a picture here, but it won't show up... I hope it's not against forum regulations...

And lots of thanks to Allen for his generosity. Thank you,Al.

Hi Dialex,

It is a problem with the software: sometimes an image won't show up in the first post of a thread -- we need to get it fixed. You could try posting it again in a reply to this thread.

The only caution I have for you is that posting an original creation of your own may legally put it in the "public domain," which may create problems for you later if you try to market/patent your design.

For those who are wondering how it was made... You're gonna laugh... I started doing models in ACAD, and then rendering them in 3DMAX. But the finishing was not as I expected . I am currently designing the 2D in CorelDRAW, (it works much faster), then export it in 3DMAX, retouch a little here, a bit more there, and finally, Adobe Photoshop saves the day . I am happy to see that you liked it and that you are interested in seing more. Well, if that's what you want... see you.

I think if you angled the blade downward more it'd work better and look better... of course, then it'd also look EXACTLY like a la griffe with a thumb ramp, instead of just mostly like one.

I would be very interested in seeing those other designs, by the way. This one was very well done.

Excelent looking design there Dialex. Looks like a real useful multi purpose blade.

BTW
What did you use to create the image.
It looks like a 3D model that has been taken into photoshop for some airbrushing. IMHO the image is as good as the design.

Sweet!

I carry a CRKT BearClaw, but that just looks deadly.

Good thing I still have 8 to spare...
