My oldest son and I LOVE to go on hikes and learn about nature. There seems to be two factors of every hike (whittling and finding/identifying mushrooms). It is always a great time, here are a few photos we captured along our way.

Cool pics as usual. :) Are you able to identify and tell if they're edible? Glad you two are having fun. Thanks for sharing.

- best wishes, Jazz.

Thanks. Actually we try to identify them all and everything shown is edible (but you want the puffballs before they dry out). So far, we have only harvested puffballs and only for entertainment. Some day we may prepare some harvested 'shrooms for eating.

We are also learning about tracking too but I did not think photos of footprints and spore would be much fun.

When I was young I used to spend a lot of time in the woods. Getting older changed that...my kids are taking me back to my youth. It is a good thing!
