I just got my Grad gift from my aunt! $100, says for me to get what I want for a gift! Waiting on the shipment of VG-10 spydies, and the cricket style 'kat...

Currently own:

Delica, FRN/ats-55, PE

Capypso jr lt, PE

Dragonfly, SS/ats-55, PE

Cricket, Tufram/ats-55, SE

Q, spyder/440C, PE

goes with(other makers):

CRKT BearClaw, plain

MT LCC DA, combo

ColdSteel ReadyEdge, serr

POS Multitool

Buck MiniTool

SwissTech Utilikey

and a pile of other assorted junk that gets rotated.

Thinking about:

Endura, combo, vg-10, frn

Meerkat, cricket, plain

Moran, drop point, plain

Harpy, plain, vg-10

Merlin(frn), plain, vg-10

Native, 440V, edge is open for suggestions

These are the ones in my $100 range. Opinions?

Hey vampyrewolf :

ALL are excellent choices ; I'm a bit prejudiced, however, when it comes to the
"cricket" ( mine served 3 illustrious yrs!)
go for those "cricket"s! Best little knife to
come around the pike in a LONG time The
"Native" is next in combo edge, SS or FRN work
just fine. Tell you what though, as for the "merlin" PE hold off until releases
some more "harpy"s PE. I figure we can put
pressure to bear on S.F.O. by holding back on
the PE "merlin" until the PE "harpy" gets goin'!( Kraziekurtis you there? ) Either
way, with you can't lose! Best goddamn knife / knife company in the world! Bar none!
Just my two cents.

You should also consider the salsa. It is a great chunky little knife that feels very comfortable and out performs many larger knives.

All are good choices. Out of the one's you are currently considering, I'd go with the Moran. But that's just me. And I've beenknown to be wrong from time to time.

The Spydies you currently own are on the smaller side of the Spyderco line. You could give the larger bladed folders a chance and go with the Endura. Besides, it's a classic that no Spydie fan should be without! :o)

Ah damn...

My parents tld me this morning...

I can't get another knife on this cash. That has to wait till I get a job again, guess it's time for more hunting!

J Smith (and Glasshart): I'm getting a Millie SE, and Meerkat, nav style, PE when I get a job and have an extra $250 or so. This I guess will end up as the next purchase after that.

But I'll see what I get from my grandparents for grad still... might be sooner...

My friend, what you need in that collection is a Calypso Sr.

I was thinking of putting mine up for trade for a Starmate, but then I got to playing with and realized how great of a knife it is

People will say it doesn't have a belly, but that doesn't matter to me.

Including shipping it would go over the 100 dollar price range :-/

C54 Calypso

EDIT: When you say 100 dollar price range, are you talking about USD or Canadian dollars? Errr...:-/

Once the green stuff starts rolling again, I'd latch onto the Endura. Overall, it's a sweet knife that'll take anything.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

I have the Endura SE in VG-10, it is a GREAT knife. No matter what edge you may go with, this clipit can handle anything that you throw at it.
The Native in Plainedge is going to be my next Spydie....
