I liked this site when I first came here. It is neat, and quite well done. I only have some mentions to make:

1. There are the products, descriptions, pictures, which are OK. But I think that this site especially should feature the entire range of products. I haven't seen here the Ocelot, the Mouse, the Wayne Goddard's, which is a favorite of mine, and many other models. I know, currently not available, but give man some eye candy. And speaking of eye candy, why don't you post the pictures of the civilian?

2. I think is the brand with the most numerous "public appearances". There should be a place on this site which keeps the track of all the movies where a features. I know that this topic appears on the forum from time to time, but it would better have it's own place, permanently.

3. Please, do something with that problem that stops a picture posted here, in the forum, from showing up. It's kinda frustrating! I saw that it is possible to insert the picture into the textbox. Maybe one of you could show me how to do it.

At least, if it can't be fixed, give man the possibility to delete the unnecessary postings.

4. The steel charts used - before - to show also the hardness (Rockwell&#176, which I think it was quite a good thing. Could you put it back, please. Now I try to guess the hardness of a steel according to the carbon percentage. (I'm not very good at steel, so I probably may be oftenly wrong).

And finally, I wonder if anybody from the is actually reading all this stuff at the forums. I heard that Sal keeps an eye on all of these, but I doubt he can cope with all the information here. I ask this because I think my suggestions are good and I'd like to present them to the webmaster or someone similar.

Hey dialex :

If you want eye candy, I can send you some
catalogs ; the picture(s), tech specs ( i.e.
blade steels. Rockwell hardness, etc. ) are too extensive to post here. BTW I sent a 2002
catalog w/ the "Delica". Try e-mailing Sal
(president) for some catalogs
( sglesser@spyderco.com ) for permanent eye
candy. I think the design(s) you posted here
on the forum deserve to be better than eye
candy. How about a custom collaboration?

We do need to make a FAQ.

Hai,

how about a museum of spyderco products. anything that are not in the current product list to be placed here together with all the information e.g. year produce, specs, price at that time, customs modified by etc. it will provide a lot of information to a new comer, maybe ....

Good suggestions all. I really enjoy the idea of a Spydie archives where all the specs for past and present models could be found. T'would help immensely in trying to ID and catagorize some of the old findings. An FAQ listing would be nice too.

A small change in format by the "Not So Evil Today Webmaster" would help a little also. When a thread is several pages long how about listing the pages at the top as well as the bottom for faster access if you're just checking the latest replies. Eliminate a lot of scrolling and clicking! Thanks!

A listing of common RC ratings would be useful. While makers vary, most steels are hardened in a reasonably small range, maybe 2-3 points.

This would have been especially useful with Case steel. Since their SS is 420HC, I thought it would be as easy to sharpen as Buck's 420HC. Turns out Case hardens at 59 while Buck goes to 57!

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Hey Webmaster Dude,

How about a preview feature to decrease the number of edits and "Aw s***s" from failure to post pix.

BTW Guys n' Gal,

A lot of our failures to post are caused by violating the 400 X 400 pixel rule (different from the format size). I have Winders 98 (Texican for my OS) and the My Computer function will not list pixel size when you left click and select Properties. Graphics SW like Corel, Photo Suite, etc will give you a full readout on the graphic and allow you to maninpulate the picture. I believe a preview feature would help us eliminate some of our mis-posts and ergo frustration at El Web Jefe. Post on my sharp edged brethren and sistren!!!
