The knife of my youth has come back to haunt me! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I remember my cousin ( a West Haven
cop yet ) telling the more youthful ATE to
veer away from switchblades ( I would follow
this in the years to come ; almost fanatically ) and get on this new bandwagon.
In 1981, after showing me the ad for <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> in
Soldier of Fortune magazine "..this is probably going to be the future of one handed
knives..." he told me. 1983, Ft. Benning, Ga.
I cast my eyes on the "worker" again <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> but
the problem was my lifestyle and infestimal
Army pay <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>. Now in 2002 ( 19yrs later!) I'm
again haunted by the "worker" ; guess I'll just "cave in" and buy one! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
So many Spydies, so little money! <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Hey Al ~ You can't go wrong with the worker dude! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Its a "must have" for any Spydernut! The commemorative worker is a good choice! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I agree with Sam, the Worker is a must for any serious <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> collector. It is, after all, where it all began. I would have bought a Commemorative version but I have an old PE Worker which I refurbished and had embellished with a "chai" in memory of the late James Mattis.

Well, deep in every Spydernut's heart, there's a worker that's dying to get out, so, it'll be a MUST to own one no matter what you think of it..
Its also THE <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> knife that became the flagship of Poppa Spyder and the Spydercrew for more than two decades.. Makes me feel proud with the fact that I actually own two early Workers with two-screws on its clip..
Coming from Spyderco, its a knife that is conceived out of love as it is straight from the heart! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Update :
Received Commemorative Worker about two weeks
ago from the date of this posting ( 07/25/02)
and I'm impressed as hell! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Would've liked it in SE better <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> but one has to see the blue velvet lined display box to REALLY appreciate this one. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> This, along with the C23GS Renegade & PE Merlin/Harpy really made
my month! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Happy early birthday to me! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
