Am I the only one seeing Manix2 lines?

I know there is a shiny footprints policy, but..
Boker is outsourcing these knives, that means some chinese laundry makes models and they just stamp Magnum on the ones that Boker team has chosen.

Yeah that's pretty crappy...that's Manix 2 all the way. They say plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery ;)

Wow, that is a very obvious design rip. I'll admit I don't hate it though, being a huge Manix fan the overall design appeals to me. The handle looked okay, until I went to the site and saw the pocket clip side.

I didn't know Eric Glesser is now designing Boker's ergo's...they could have at least changed it a little, the ergonomic scheme is identical

You'd think someone at Boker would have noticed the obvious similarity and said let's pass on this one.

It looks like a Manix 2 passed through a fuglitizer :) It really annoys me that a major maker would create such an obvious rip off. I know we are supposed to stick to not bashing any other makers but come on....

As much as I like and respect Boker, their Magnum line is... How should I put it, suspicious. :o

Hi all,
This May be a total Chinese copy, having nothing to do with Boker,or their name. They counterfit Bokers also. I have seen other knives reproduced with other brand names which had nothing to do with the production of such fakes. Columbia is a name which comes to mind, if they are a real company that produces knives, and they probably have no idea that their name is being used. Just a thought! Trying to take the High Road!!!
Thanks,
Charlie

CharlieWould be comforting if that were true. But unfortunately that seems impossible. The link 224477 provided is to Boker's German website and the photo he posted is hosted on their website as well. To me, anyway, that rules out any possibility it was done without their knowledge and consent.

Clicked the link and it's still up...
I couldn't find any US sellers with it though.

What I never understood is, that Boker sells knock offs even of own designs under Magnum brand.

Update:
this knife never hit the shelves, we took it out of the catalogue, and we didnīt sell one single piece.
For Boker being a big victim of counterfeits, with all those crappy knives showing a fake Boker logo and all, we have absolutely no intention to support a business policy based on copies and counterfeits.
We apologize that this model was missed by our "radar", but we corrected it as soon as we noticed it.

well it's kinda like Byrd for Spyderco... almost same designs, cheaper materials, entry level prices.
Thanx much Marc,
We appreciate your cooperation.
