I just sent my fax to Joan on the new variations. Lot's of neat things coming our way:

Spot Self Protection Option Tool - A palm sized, fixed-blade, neck knife with Kydex sheath. (FB08)

Salsa-Cranberry, SE

Kiwi - Gentlemans clipless, lockback folder has brushed stainless steel bolsters with amber jigged-bone. There are no variations on this knife. (C75P)

Pride - The first one hand opening, non-locking folder. The handle is brushed aluminum with an embedded cloisonne' enamel U. S. Flag. There are no variations of this model. (C72P)

I thought the Salsa was in red, not cranberry
and I can't wait to see the S.P.O.T. ( see spot cut! ) and Pride.

whoa a non-locking folder??? isnt that a tid bit dangerous? i had a knife with a broken lock and i was pokeing a hole in something and the blade sipped down and cut me wide open.

The letter say's cranberry - I think Spyderco is reserving red for trainers. rico

Traditional folding knives, &quot;slipjoints,&quot; don't lock. They are perfectly safe if the user handles the knife safely. In some parts of the world locking folders are illegal. Pride is intended to be a universally legal folding knife, anywhere that carrying a knife isn't totally illegal.

Did it say when the SPOT and the Kiwi are going to become available? I've got to have at least one spot and I'd like to see a pic of the Kiwi, as this is the first I'm hearing about it.

Just when I thought I could funnel all my spare money into the boat, along comes the Kiwi <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>. This one's been kept very quiet. Any chance of specifications or a picture? Carlos?
