My name is Dan and I recently joined the Spyderco Crew here in beautiful Golden, CO. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and explain my role here as well as some of the small changes you, our loyal fans, might notice.

First of all, I want to assure you that Kristi (TazKristi) is not going anywhere. She enjoys interacting with everyone on the forums and will continue to do so. I was brought on to do a bunch of web stuff, including updating Spyderco.com with new product and manage the social media. I will also be taking over the new product announcements on Facebook and Twitter, as well as right here on the Spyderco forum. My goal is to keep all of you updated with our new products as they come out and hopefully have some fun here and there, too. You might notice that a few more products are now available on our website. I went ahead and included a complete list at the bottom of this post.

With that being said, I would like to encourage you all to go check out the Spyderco Facebook Fan Page (facebook.com/spyderco (http://www.facebook.com/spyderco)). We have some exciting things headed that way that you’ll want to be a part of soon. In the meantime, if you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

Thanks for the welcome! I have some fun things in mind as far as Facebook goes where fans will be able to win free stuff for participating in contests and things like that. We're still working out the details, but I hope to have it up real soon.

The Spyderco Facebook Fan Page is live and active! Check it out at http://www.facebook.com/spyderco. In order to post to the wall, you must first "like" the page by hitting the blue like button at the top. After that, you should be able to post/browse as you please.
