I purchased a spyderco for a personal fire/rescue service knife. I keep it in my bunker coat for any multitude of situations/reasons. I purchased this knife on the recommendation of a coworker who owns one as well. I recently used the knife to cut some hard plastic/fiberglass material at an auto accident and I damaged my serated edge badly. I must say that I am suprised the blade didn't hold up to this task. Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so how did you fix/repair it? Any suitable replacement I could be made aware of I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Dave,
Welcome. Which Spyderco did you use? I have a few with ATS-55 blades and I have not had the same trouble you have. Have you contacted Syderco Warrenty Service? They may want to look at it and could offer suggestions for repair/replacement.

Hi Dave. Welcome. Sorry for the disappointment, hope the knife did the job.

I would recommend sending it to us. We won't know what we can do or how badly damaged it is until we see it.

Hi, Dave has the Delica.I know because I'm the knifenut co-worker who recomends Spyderco's to my fellow firefighters. Well I'm pretty sure its the Delica, sometimes its hard to keep track, because once one guy gets a spyderco and others see it perform they all want one!
