I had my belt clip broken on my spydie police, stainless, non-serrated knife and went to a dealer over a year ago. I called today(12/9/00) andwas told that they have ordered the part and have not yet received it and that they don't have the knife either. I thought that it was sent to the factory to be repaired and returned. Was i wrong? The dealer couldn't give me any information concerning the knife at all. The knife was bought before the ban, and is very hard to find. They have offered no options for resolving this problem. Can you help me recover my knife or get it replaced by the dealer? PLEASE? I would rather go directly to Spyderco in the future than deal with these people again. I have nothing but bad things to say about this particluar dealed and the runaround that they have been giving me over my knife.

Well to find out if Spyderco has your knife call Mike at Spyderco 800-525-7770. But I doubt they have had it that long and not returned it. Sounds like the problem is the dealer. Do you have any record that you brought it in? That might make getting it back or replacing it easier. Keep on trying. Good luck!

Hi Ipstoner. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Sorry for your dilema. As Jey mentioned, calling Mike would probably be best to do first.

Normally we prefer to repair ourown knives, bnut there are other companies now making parts like clips. Perhaps the dealer planned on repairing the knife himself?

Let us know what comes out.
