Big-Target,
As someone who has had years of experience working with adults with severe mental illness, I would say that it is good that you are concerned about inanimate objects communicating with you.
Many of the clients that I have worked with have had detailed conversations with television sets, radios, cigarette butts, and velvet paintings of Jesus. Never heard of someone conversing with a knife, however.
My recommendation is that you immediately take yourself to your local community mental health center for a complete psychiatric evaluation and then....hmmm?...I'm sorry, I was distracted by my Calypso Jr. telling me that she feels lonely and needs to be held...there, there now, little Claypso. Everything is all right, you're back in my pocket where you are safe...Now, where was I? <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

My glasshart special told me it wanted to be in the spyderman movie. That darn cricket is nasty when it gets hungry, that reverse s serrated blade has a tendency to bite anyone who isn't gentle with it.
