Since Kahz is back, and in rememberance of her wonderfully inspiring "SpyderArt" posts, from back in the day, I got to thinking that there have never been any "Spydie Poems" posted here that I can recall. So come one, come all to this challenge . Is there a "rhymin'simon" amogst you? I'll bet Java will bite. Kahz? S&S ?Knife Punk? Others? Shall we stop short of the roses are red stuff? I would hope so.....

Poem#1

Hurray for this Spyderco Forum,
And the posts from those folks who adore them.
I check it each day,
To see what they say,
then go on-line to a store,
and buy more of them....

How 'bout <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> haiku?

In my front pocket
there sleeps a stainless steel knife.
Ouch! That Spyder bites!

I hear about people and their Spyder.
Glashartt knows, just ask her.
I don't have just one...
Cutting all day, what fun...
We can all toast at the end of the day with some cider!

TQ

I'm getting no award for that one!

With a Spyderco clipped to his pants ...

The Painful Haiku

Ice cold polished steel
Red blood running down my hand
Spyder bites, band aids.

Simple, short and sweet. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

'Twas a cold day in the land, when I realized I needed a decent knife for my hand.

So I powered up the PC, and made a diligent search to knife companies from A to Z.

Few there were that had any appeal to my taste, I knew in my heart that it had to be good, as in the following of a caste.

At last I found, to my utter surprise, a company with a Bug imprinted with such delicate lines!

I put my order in: for a SpyderCard in the &quot;toothy&quot; operation.....

Since that glorious day, I have never looked back in dismay.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> And my collection of Bugs continues to expand, getting all the more abundant each time I look in my hand.

What is better than a wife?
Only a sharp knife,
But it must be a Spyderco:
Use them in the snow,
Use them in the desert,
They're always very pleasant!

I once bought a cute blade,
Oh, it is so great!
It looks like an eagle-claw,
or perhaps a lion's paw.
Just carry it everywhere,
to fight a grizzly-bear.
Even Hannibal uses it,
To kill a little bit,
It's nice and sharpy,
I'm talking about my Harpy!

Kev Mullins is my name...
I'm new to the Spydie game
I bought my new Delica...
From a gal named Angelica
Now to my total fright...
I find this Spyder likes to bite
Took a chunk from my hand...
Now I've joined this sick band
That buys these Spyders both old and new...
Gee...I hope my wife hasn't a clue
Of the money I spend on these cute little gems...
That I tend to go purchase, just on a whim
My wallet lays empty as a hollowed out log...
Don't know where I'll get the money to even feed my dog
My cat will starve, my children will mow...
Just so I can go buy another Spyderco!

There was a man from Nantucket,
With a Spyderco so sharp he couldn't touch it,
One day, it slipped in his hand,
Now when he pee's, he don't stand,
But he sits like a girl on the tarlet.

I didn't even get an error message but it posted twice!
I didn't even see the blood, but realized, the Spydie had cut me nice!

I shouldn't play with mine all at once,
while playing console games,
Not only do the wounds really hurt,
But now I hang my head in Spydie Shame.

And looking to the brighter side,
My Spydies do have locks,
So with that said, I'll now put them away,
and concentrate on my X-Box..

Note-Disclaimer:
Kraziekurtis is very responsible with his knives and very careful with them. He would not do something as foolish as to play with Spydies and videogames at the same time.

RC,

Caught me in a low caffiene state. Gotta grab some z-z-z-z-z so I can function at work tonight. Are we still talking waxing poetic about X-Boxes or Martha Stewart or playing X-Boxes with Martha at home and drinking Starbucks. Does Martha own a fashionably orange rescue and do I need to rhyme it with her decor dujour? Where Kahz??? Java lost Kahz???? Java is lost kahz?? Java's so confused...Need sleep. Need coffee. Need coffee. Need sleep. Nnn...

java-Easy does it there young feller...may I offer a link to ease the pain? The world's best green tea...and only half the caffene of java blends...so you can drink twice as much without the pain...and the body proceses the caffene differently from Tea than it does Coffee (I have been told), so the jitters are kept at bay by gulping green tea. Just a state of alert kaos...that is what we strive for-aye?

Whoa! Dredged this one up from long past when I tried an Ogden Nash imitation....

The Black Widow spider I disdain,
For reasons easy to explain.
She woos her mate with all that's in her,
And then she eats him up for dinner.

Okay so no mention of Spyderco. It's late, the mind does strange mental exercises early in the AM when you're waiting for the cryopumps to reach 10 degrees Kelvin so you can slam the in-line sputter depsoition machine back into high vacuum and process a PF4502 Hot Lot. Besides I penned it many eons ago at the age of eleven - don't know why it surfaced this morning...maybe I'd better go get some more late night 30W.
