what was the original intent for the Calypso design ? was it meant as a utlity or defense or as a folding skinner? any background ?
thanks...time passing slowly...can't wait !!
Hi Joebe. The Calypso design was an extended version of the Calypso jr.
The Calypso jr was designed to be a refined, ergonomic, comfortable to carry and use EDC. It was designed at that length to be PC and still be large enough to do effective cutting shores. Personally, I prefer a larger blade than the jr had so I extended the length of the blade for my own pesonal preference and made the larger model available in case anyone else had the same preferences. It's a very easy knife to carry and provides a great deal of cutting power in a slim light package. It is much stronger than it appears. It is illegal to carry in many parts of the country, because of its blade length.
hope that helps.

thanks alot for the feedback, i haven't seen any old articles on the model and was curious, seems like a very practical EDC.
