I know there are plenty of us out there that carry and use a left side carry. Just wondering exactly how many of us are on this forum.
Picking up a Merlin(PE) and Native(CE) this fall, for my left carry. Too many good ones with only right carry.
How about some leftie Micarta or G-10 handles? I already know about the leftie Mariner and Police, both SS, at my local shop... but they just don't work for me.

Yup, I'm a Lefty, too.
I've been wanting a "Lefty" Chinook (and a G-10 "Lefty" Police model) soooooooooooooo badly!!!, but so far I'm forced to carry my FRN Endura in its' place (clipped inside the Left pocket of my Levis)...
One of the reasons why I like the Endura and Native (among other Spydercos) so much, is because they are both very "Lefty-friendly".

I carry my Merlin PE on the left for the same reason, too many on the right already.
The reversable clips allow even those of us right handers the flexability to be ambidextrous(sp?).

I am strong right handed, but can do anything but write legibly left handed. It looks more or less like 'doctors script' from the left hand.
I've only been ambi for a few years(even before spyderco came into my life), and thats only through a lot of practice and concentration.
I can actually use a linerlock leftie... do it all the time with my cricket. It's siting in front of the belt, left side/front. either hand grabs for use.

I'm a rightie, but carry my emergency knife in my left-rear pocket. This carry allows my primary emergency tool room on my right side.
Right now, it's either a Harpy or a leftie Mariner (until the extra-large Harpy is available). Hooray

Lefty here too. For some reason, I use scissors and calculator keypads right-handed, but most everything else is done with the left.
Sigh. Would like to have added something like a Vesuvius to the rotation, but the right-handed clip took it off of the wish list. Oh well, the Native and Calypso Jr. are taking care of things just fine...

Left handed but use a knife right handed.
JEFF
I'm left-handed and only buy knives I can open with either hand. I always thought it would be embarrassing or stupid if my "main" hand was busy or injured and I was not able to open my knife because their was no thumbstud on that side of the blade or the hole was blocked by the handle of the knife.

Massad Ayoob for left-handed carry. Would buy more <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s if there were more lefties.

I'm a rightie but usually carry a <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Rescue 98 in the left pocket for back up, also taught myself how to pull and open a right hander from/with the left side (for when the Rescue is rotated out).
"Ne vyklykaj vowka z leesoo, ..... bo tsej vowk maje <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> ." Don't call the wolf out of the forest, because this one carries a <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> .

Right handed but I rotate my Massad Ayoob and G-10 Civilian in my left pocket.
Tip down configured for right side carry, the smooth action (once broken in), and massy blade make it perfect for inertial open to reverse grip when gripping the handle, not to mention the most multiposition ergonomic handle of all the Clipits.

Very much a lefty, as a heavy-handed doctor tore the nerves to my right arm at birth. I started with a Mariner whenever they first came out. (mid '80's?) First thing I did was get the proper metric drill and tap to move the clip to where I wanted it. (opposite side, opposite end) Put black heatshrink tubing over the clip and black masking tape (available at art supplies) over the end of the handle and clip that was still sticking out for "discreet" carry.
When I heard the Rescue was going to switch to a more appropriate steel (A6?), I waited for the new steel to show up at my local outlet. Carried that until the damn molded in clip caused its loss a couple of months ago. After finding out from my first look at the Forum that the full size Rescue was out of production, I immediately ordered one, liked it so much I ordered a spare. I'm busily modifying my C14SBK into the perfect emergency tool. When I get it finished in the next week or so, I'll try to post pictures.

ummm.. I can use both hands.. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Anyway, short for the right-handed liner lock knives, most backlock <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s are ambidextrous! Totally C<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>L!

They also have a SS Police, SE, Gin-1(G-2), about the same price.
I'd get them, but as stated above, they just don't work for my hand.

Samo, I have a small problem with right handed linerlocks... still do it though. I'm finding the Compression lock easy to do leftie, almost made for it on the Lil Temp.
