Has anyone seen these 1st Generation BRK(Blue Ridge Knives) available?. Differences in this knife other than the blade etching? Discountknives.com has them for $22! Various prices on ebay. Anyone purchased from Discount Knives before?

Looks like the blade steel is 440A instead of the more common CPM440V. I beleive 440V is a better class of steel.

I have ordered from Discount Knives several times and have been very satisfied. One caveat though, Brian is not "overcommunicative" in emails. You might not hear much from him but I have usually received my orders within a few days. Excellent prices as well.

I think he might have them listed wrong the ones on ebay are 440v.

BRK only sells to dealers not to the public for one.
And first generation natives were gin 1 blade with a shallower serrations and less of the more like a 70/30 rather than the current version 85/15 cpm440v.

The steel in the first generation Native FRN is Gin-1, or G2. I got a <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>edge model on me right now, great knife! RKBA!

I was going to order a G10 inlay Native but I am not sure I would like the inlay. So I think I am going to order one of these BRK Natives. At 22 bucks they are a steel.

There is a BRK Native on E-Bay right now without the top swedge. Its being represented as a factory error. Were any made without the swedge, or is it an error?

Rec'd mine from Brian @ Discountknives today, but he accidently sent a PE and I wanted SE. I guess I will exchange it(I already have a PE). Great knife for the price! Appears they are all 440A steel??

just got mine in the mail. the silver clip and writing on the blade was a bit weird but this is one cool spydie, scary sharp, very cool grip pattern and i bet this thing penetrates like a basterd.
super deal <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
