so, on the new spyderco knives, I've noticed that the thumbhole is no longer tapered. This was really bugging me, so I decided to file it down.
I used one of those rod knife sharpeners, like the ones you can maybe find in your kitchen to sharpen your butcher knives or something. The grain is vertical down the rod, but you can twist the sharpener to sort of ream out the hole. it can make a fairly even tapering job. just an idea.
