Well Lance did it again. He has won the Tour de France four times in a row. This places him very firmly in the books of cycling legend. Sadly there have been many negative articles about him even in the american press written by idiots who have no understanding of cycling. One even questioned whether or not he was an athlete, he is THE athlete. Riders in the tour can burn as many as 10,000 calories in a single stage. This is the greatest endurance race currently in existance. If he can keep it going for 2 more years he will be known as the most successful cyclist in history. All this plus his return from near and almost certain death under the shadow of cancer. I hear he and president Bush are also buddies since both are texans. He will also be joining a new committee on cancer survivorship that was created by the president. He has won again. Go Lance!!!! Almost forgot, he doesn't take any of the winnings from the tour, he splits it up among his teammates, support crew, mechanica, etc.

Yes Lance is the best!!!
Watched all 20 Days on the tube. All we need now is for Lance to quit us-postal and join CSC-TISCALI.

Darn people from Denmark. Lance very much belongs where he is. The best american cyclist needs to stay on an american team. go usps! Roberto Hreas is also the man.

VIVA LANCE!!

Sorry, it's just that I'm from Austin, and Lance has brought quite a bit of publicity to our town. "Is he an athlete?" Please! He's got stamina that any track runner, swimmer, or marathon runner would envy, and that's just on the first stage! There's something to be said for a guy who came back from his deathbed to become one of the most famous athletes in the world.

On the downside, you have to watch out even more for bicyclists around here.

Edit: Hmm... it appears that my college town name is still in the "From" field here... I go back to school in a month, but I'm an Austinite wherever I go.

Lance is an outstanding athlete and thoroughly deserves his win....but watch out for the Aussies . Not only did Robbie McEwen win the Green sprinters jersey but Baden Cooke was right up there in his first Tour and looks like a future Green jersey combatant. Also watch out for Cadel Evans, he's being touted as a possible contender for the Yellow jersey in the future.

Spyderco could make the Lance Armstrong commemorative knife with _2_ Syydieholes and a bicycle frame engraved between them (so the holes look like wheels.

Just a thought,

Lance ROCKS - No question!!! No doubts!!!
He followed the path laid down by fellow Texan David Meyer-Oakes and the great Gregg Lemond (first American to win the Tour)- and now has boldly wheeled where no American has wheelded before. Endurain, Hinnault - beware the draft you feel is Lance sucking your wheel!! He WILL pass and he WILL break away!!!

Calypso,
Two holes? One blade or two? How abot an Armstrong Special Tour de PRIDE!?? I'm in for two - my MTB needs a new Mojo!!

Stay safe! Stay sharp! Go Lance!!!

I just talked to Lance, and he wants to come and ride for CSC-Tiscali but only if I could get him a danish productionfolder as good as Spydercos......SO you can keep him for the time being...but we are working on a Little Mermaid folder with SE and a lighter in the but.

java: 2 holes on the same blade so that the holes were like wheels on a bike. Maybe lazer cut a bike instead of the standard round hole like a 'Q'. Kind of a quirky thing.

Calypso,

I love the laser cut-out bicycle blade a-la "Q" idea!! Put it in a Pride with crossed Frech and American flags - I'll buy 10!!!! Viva la Lance!!

Vox,

You are a deliciously evil and schemingly jealous <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>man!!! Relax! By the time time your equal-to-Spyderco-quality Little Mermaid folder hits the market, Lance will have won 7 straight Tours and be long since retired and speaking on the lucrative lecture circuit. (Do us a favor though...make your LM a Spydie Pride knock-off, put Arial on the emblem, and I'll buy 10 of those to go with my Armstrong Special Pride. (Always thought Arial was the hottest Disney character ever - bar none!!))

Stay safe! Stay sharp! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Java,

Now ye've gone and done it, mate. Ye've blown ta' gasket with all that 30W ye have been a pumpin'! Without a doubt, though, the Lil' Mermaid is up there amongst the "Top Ten Disney Beauties". However, my money goes to that hottie on the new film of Atlantis. Wooohooo! Now that chick was somethin'. I dunno' about who'd win on that round. The Mermaid or the Sea Babe. Heh heh!

Oh yeah, this is on topic because I think the gal had a Rescue cliped on her swimsuit thingie.

Howdy Mike,

I'll defend Arial against any and all takers. She's 50 times the woman/fish of any Esmerelda or that Jasmine floozie that Aladin ran around with. Aye! Those sea-green eyes; that musical voice; those irridescent green scales; and oh what stunning purple clam shells she wears!! She makes Jane look like a chimp! I haven't seen Atlantis but I'll give you your Sea Babe - I'm ever true to my ruby tressed aqua-woman!! As fer stickin' to the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> subject. I would love to be the Catcherman that swims away with her heart....sigh!

Stay safe! Stay sharp! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

PS: Disney Channel's Kimpossible is fairly smokin' too. Must be the red cartoon hair that does it!!

This topic has had one heck of a random subject change. Can't you guys keep your cartoon fantasies to yourselves? ;-) Walt Disney was a sadistic bastard.

Marauder M'boy,

Just hold them six white horses there, dude. Friend Java and myself were merely conversing of the higher properties of a few of Disney's women-folk. (Granted, it is a wee bit off topic, but hey, it was just a friendly banter you know.) Just tryin' to keep things light.

Cheers!

Michelob

PS. Ah, I will have to disagree with you on the part of Disney being a "sadistic bastard". The man has made countless videos for children across the globe, and needs some credit for it...don't ya' think?
