Does anyone know if there is a book that has knife laws of all 50 states. Does such an animal exist? Or something even close to that. I know that there was a website that was trying to do that, but I don't have the url any more.
Anyway, I am new to this site. This is a really cool site. I am looking forward to becoming a really active member. TIA.

Just remember that laws can change every time a legislature meets. Here in Texas that's every two years. Also, court decisions set precedents that determine how a law may be interpreted. Butterfly knives, for example, may not be specifically named as illegal, but if the law says gravity knives or opening by centrifugal force are illegal, then butterfly knives can fall into that trap. A term such as dagger can be interpreted in interesting ways. In Texas, it usually means anything with two sharpened edges.

The only thing legal almost anywhere is a walking cane!
