knifepunk - what you NEEEEED is a GlassHartt special Dragonfly. Now how you pay for it? Well, I'm not so sure, but I do believe that she does require the ole greenback at some point in the transaction

Take it easy Knifepunk.

Sheesh. You go starting a thread whining, "I need a knife, bad, have to money," what kind of response are you going to get?

All of us want******we can't have. And if you think that you're the only one in the world who is "not having the best time of life," you are very sadly mistaken. And if you're life is unenjoyable just because you don't have a knife, well, I'd say you've got it made.

Or maybe, you meant, you're not having the best time of life, meaning, you're going through puberty?

You have a bad temper.. That's threatening. Especially on the internet...

I bet that really put glockman in his place.

I'm not starting a flamewar. But your attitude is ridiculous. Suggest a moderator delete this thread.

get a fucking grip and how about a job so you can afford to buy shit...

If you are posting topics such as the above, it means you are requestion opinions. However, the text in your post suggest you want a flamewar.

If you continue to post like the above, I have a very strong feeling you will either be banned or ignored.

All of us need more s, most of us need more cash...

I hope that when you said you lost your best friend it means that you had a quarrel, not that he / she deceased. If it's just an argument, you should't worry, if you're that good friends you could - no, you surely will get over this and make it up. Now it depends on who makes the first step.
As about the new , have you tried the Calypso jr.? It's a very good knife and it can still be found at a very reasonable price.

I left my job on Nov 16, 2001... I didn't get any new toys till this summer(june 27th, 2002; spydercard)... and another 3 when I got back.

Trust me, I was craving a new knife to play with, but I also had to work on my grade 12 and try to squeeze by on as little money as I could possibly borrow. I didn't eat junk food, go to movies, play pool(other than grad weekend), drink(other than grad weekend), or otherwise do anything that would cost me $$...

know what!? I'm still looking for a job, I now have about $350 to make it till I have one, and I have 3 knives on order from Linda(she's waiting till I have a job) and getting a Moran as soon as I can scrape $100 together(NEED a new fixed blade, hate the BearClaw now that I have the Merlin).

Oh, that case you posted some time ago at the Forum... Quite sad to hear about that story. I think that your friend needs your support now more than ever, so don't turn your back. I think that a mail (or a letter) from you now and then could lift up his morale a lot. I don't know how is jail in your country, but here it is very abusive. The newcomers are raped by the wardens in the first place. And nobody gives a damn $#it
Now about that knife problem... You're gonna laugh... I have a good salary for my country, that means almost 130 $ a month. I managed to save about 50$ in more than half a year, and I did certain sacrifices too. I hope I'll soon get a FRN Calypso jr. or a FRN Delica SE, something you can afford easier than me. But my knife is much more valuable to me, as it was that hard earned.
Now, I don't want this to be an educational crap, all I wanted to say is the efforts give the real value to something.
There is something queen Isabela of Spain told to C. Columbus when he went to discover America: "Go for you island and be sure that if it doesn't exists, God will specially create it for you, just to reward your efforts" (or the updated version "No pain, no gain" )

Every time I read one of these posts I roll my eyes.
#1) You don't have money. Get a job or do some trading.
#2) Dann is the man! Don't forget that.
#3) Sorry to hear about your friend but you need to demonstrate some better coping mechanisms than exploding on the Spyderco forums and unloading your anger on anyone who steps on your toes. Try releasing some of that energy physically or creatively. If it still doesn't help, get some help.
People get torn to pieces in other forums for this kind of crap, if you post things like this, expect some criticism. Show some maturity and even more importantly, some tact,
Matt

When we show lack of control in a public forum, it gives ammunition to those who want to legislate knives out of existence. The sheeple read our forums, magazines, and books, and do quote us when they lobby legislators. I am LEO, but believe strongly in the Second Amendment and the right of self-defense. I work in an area heavily slanted toward the sheeple end of the political spectrum. They may be totally unthreatening as individuals, but certainly do flock together to influence the news media and lawmakers. Free speech is a good thing, just beware of who is listening. Sorry for rambling; just my $0.02 (Disclaimer: I do not work for the P.D. of my listed home town.)

I think that banishing knives won't solve the problem, as the knife itself is just an object. It can be a tool or a weapon depending on the one who uses it. You can hurt someone using a glass, a pen, a screwdriver, even a piece of paper(!) and another few thousand apparently harmless objects. RKBA!
