Parents asked me to house sit for them whilst they went away for the day. So I took some chicken, mushrooms and some other bits over so I could make myself some taragon chicken for tea.

First thing, cut up the checken breast. Go to the drawer and look for a sharp knife. Well as it happens the "sharpest" knife was duller than some butter knives I've seen. But never fear, clipped to my pocket is a large SE Calypso. Got to say that the Calypso makes one heck of a kitchen knife

Well the chicken and mushrooms are on the go, time to open the tin of peas. But lo, it looks as though the parents have taken the can opener with them ????? Well lucky for me I have my Leatherman Wave on my belt. Got to say it has one of the best can openers on any multi tool I've ever had.

And people wonder why in a knife represive society I always carry one (or two ... or three) on me

Walk softly, carry a big stick.

Hi Yog,
Now you know what mom and dad needs for x-mas, kitchen spydies and a sharpmaker.
Parents you gotta love them, silly old farts!

Vox - "silly" you say? I think it was pretty darn sly of them to set Yog up for Christmas that way

What's that old saying..."Be prepared."? Some group or other uses that, I hear. Not only did you get a chance to figure a few Christmas gifts, you also got the pleasure of Chicken!

Never underestimate the impossible.
