Hi Knifepunk.
I'd say it's a good trade. I'd always wanted a Delica with a G-10 handle and that's basically what the standard is.
It was listed in the 1998 cataloug, so it was discontinued sometime after that.

knifepunk, I think you're going to like the Standard. Will yours be plain-edged or serrated?
Although it's smaller than the Endura, it's still big enough to do alot of chores. I really like the ergonomics of the G-10 handle with the thumb ramp of the blade.

Hey knifepunk ;
Good score! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>edge does tickle my fancy better than PE ( although I have some PE <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s'
too!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) And G-10 has better "heft appeal" than the FRN of the Endura.
So many Spydies <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, So little money! <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Great choice KP! The C05 Standard is one of my most favorites. I think you'll like it, though it's smaller <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
How's your friend doing, BTW?

GOT IT TODAY!!!!! dam this little knife is nice. Heavy, but nice. but 1 problem, The clip. well one of the screws is smaller then the other 2 so its not reaching the threads inside. it keeps falling out, and plus the black paint is already scratchin all off in only 1 days worth of work. so i need a number or email for someone over at spyderco that might be able to Hook me up with a new clip and screws, i really want a SS clip. would the SS police clip work on the standard maybe? thanks.

Hi Knifepunk,
I'm also expecting one in a trade (PE). It looks like a good work-horse for when I get my new house.
Enjoy yours...
