To everyone,

I am obviously a fly by night "poster". Well, I gotta tell ya, I've been busy. I'm sure none of you want to hear about my problems. I just wanted to reiterate I am here for you all! Let me know what I can do for you!

Hi Travis, welcome back. Somehow I knew you're lurking out there
How are things going at Spyderco?

I wouldn't mind picking up a few of the lucite s you had there...

how would I do that?

Thanks Dialex! It's always a warm welcome!

vampyrewolf,
You'll have to be more specific than that! Give me some details. Let's see what I can pull up!

How about getting a double-edged Gunting for me? Or a Civilian with double liners?

Travis> During the Temperance Passaround on BFC, there were colored Lucite Spydericon thingies. I'll see if I can find another thread that I know is over here on this same topic. I believe they came in Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.

Travis,

Good talking with you and Eric at the Spirit of Steel. I was pleasently suprised by the "package". Thanks for following up so quickly! Nothing but good words both here on the Forum and from everyone I've talked to at Spyderco so don't believe the bad press you're puttin' out on yourself about not doing the job you promised!

Now you're getting into stuff that I can't handle. I get a lot of correspondence from folks about a new design or items that are no longer available. Either way, I can't help you there. But, one thing that I can tell you, you are doing exactly what this forum was set up for. Just by you putting in that request, the big kahuna is watching! The more he sees a suggestion, the seed starts there!

Thanks. I hear the weather will start getting pretty cool up there in New Hampshire. I figured this would be your off season. Give me some snow, a nice Fred Perrin on a sternum strap, a loyal labrador, hot cup of joe in the back country and I'm good to go! Good luck for the season (especially in this economy)!

Travis

Welcome back!! (I think)

I already contacted a dealer (Glasshartt) to pre-order a CF Police, and now, I find out a CF Delica is in the works also. I'm going to have to see about a 2nd mortgage

Travis,

A carbon fiber Delica? Hopefully in all blade styles? Hell yes I'd buy 'em!

Will the carbon fiber handles have a metal liner to aid clip screw retention?

Hi Travis! Thanks for everything at the Spirit of Steel Show. Please let the Kahuna know I am still interested in the folding SPOT! I have purchased a PAIR of Civilians since the show, after having the chance to look at one while there.

OK Travis,

How about a Steve Ryan collaboration?

So many posts! So little time.

Nemo,
I am afraid the Carbon Fiber Police and Delica will only be available in PE and SE. You'll notice though, these two models will also be available as left hand carries. Decrease in one option increase another.

KenN,
I have to say that I was very impressed with your handling the knives, if I remember correctly. I'm glad I could help out.

4 s ter,
Please!!!! I'm on my 4th mortgage!!!! Thanks for the warm welcome.

Knife Knut,
I don't know the answer to that one. I will find out though. All the right folks to ask right now are gone for the day! But, expect a post from me about this on this string!

RexG,
You're right. After Eric and I were showing you the folding SPOT I even grew to appreciate it some more. Thanks for telling all the forumites about it! I do have to ask though, what are you planning on doing with 2 Civilians? Or maybe I shouldn't ask!

Pachucko,
Just like all the other collaborations out there it's all a process. I am learning to find out that submissions of ideas and designs are always welcome. I can guarantee you that anyone's submissions will be put through the rigors like every one before it! Or are you just pulling my leg? Can't win if you don't play!

Hi Travis,

Don't pay too much attention to me, those are my standard rants...double liners and a Steve Ryan collaboration.

On second thought, do pay me lots of attention! And remember, double liners=good! Ryan, Ryan, Ryan...

One Civi for the left front pocket, tip-up, and one for a more hidden location..... After I manage to get some MBC instruction, this may change, but at my present level of training, I like the Civis.... of course I like the Gunting for primary EDC, since its blade is more suited to more uses...

Knife Knut,
Gotta answer for your question. I have found out that all the carbon handled knives that will be in production will have a liner on the side of the clip to assist in clip screw retention. Take it easy!

Playing the Devil's advocate for a moment.

So does the carbon fiber run open the door for a G-10 Police run, since the designs are the same?

You can still probably find dealers with both plain and serrated g10 police models. You just have to search a bit, ebay might be another place.

john f jensen has the PE in flat grind for $88.25 too. They're out there. I was thinking of one before they disappear, but I have to let the CC rest a little.
