My first spidey was purchased here in the U.K. as an "aviator" around 1988, the last one is about the size of a credit card with a cool shaped wedge like blade I have not saw it in the catalog, what is it called anyone? I am also the new owner of the spidey rench, wow what a tool eat yer heart out leatherman/gerber/buck, everyone needs one of these!

Also is there a spidey lapel pin that would be neat to own?

Welcome to the forum Fireblade. Yep, what ye have there is the Spydercard. Stick around and visit awhile - you will have great fun, entertainment and learn a lot about Spydies.

Vox - I just know that there are more Danes out there, but sadly none that will admit to it - I'm affraid that the thought of their Sprite & Scotch drinking countryman just sends shivers up their spine.

ROFLMAO!! Good one, Chuck!

Vox,

Ye earned that one by golly! (Bjork, bjork)BTW: Sis is cool! Never met a nurse that drinks her whiskey neat! We do battle with the limes, ta-killya, and salt tonight - now that's the proper way ta keep the ice off the old fjords!!

Fireblade,

Welcome aboard! Appears you're bitten already! Sword and Shield will be along shortly with the admission forms and code of conduct here at the SATC. Relax and enjoy the y talk and friendship.

It seems the Spydercard is just one of many discontinued models this year. They can still be found on E-Bay for a good price. You might check with Faire Lady Glasshartt to see if she has any leftovers. Linda is our resident Glock armourer, Spydie dealer, and all around swell lady:

glasshartt@aol.com

Here's the co skinny on the card from their own web page:

Who wants another credit card? Might make an exception for this one. The SpyderCard actually opens and locks into a full-sized knife blade. The handle (card) is thin stainless steel keeping the overall weight minimal. It's pancake flat with rounded edges offering enough surface area for engraving and other customization. A round hole in the handle allows access to disengage the LinerLock locking the knife open. Blade is flat ground.

Specs
Blade Steel AUS-6
Blade Thickness 5/64" 2.25mm
Diam. Blade Hole 9/16" 14.5mm
Edge Type 50/50, PlainEdge
Handle Material Stainless Steel
Hardness 57-58
Length Blade 2 13/16" 72mm
Length Closed 3 7/16" 87mm
Length Cutting Edge 2 1/2" 64mm
Length Overall 6 1/4" 159mm
Weight 3.25oz 93g

Hope that helped. Best to ya! See if you kin keep your fellow Scottsman, Al, in line! (Yeah, I've heard of Sisyphus too!)

Chuck,
If that is true, then I´ll hunt them down and make them drink the fauwl stuff with out the sprite. That will teach them. We are only about 6 million people here so I´ll find them.

Vox - Somehow I have an idea that you really could - find them that is. And with your wicked home made blades, I guess that if I had any Danish blood in me I would be quakin in my boots. That or drinkin some good Scotish Malt

BTW - You have any pics of the knives you have made? It would be nice to see some of your handywork. A little too advanced for me I think - at least at this stage of my knife addiction.

Vox.
