How about something more accessible like a forum Pride, with a Spyder bug cloissone? Maybe we could ask for a steel upgrade to AUS-8.

But if we are going to get fancy, I'd like to see something special done with the Lum Chinese. Maybe a laser-engraved Almite handle. Of course, CF, G10, or Micarta scales would be nice too. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

If the Chinook is going to be the one, then I hope Spyderco waits until the new version is hammered out and perhaps use the the forum model Chinook as a testbed for full production of the new design.

Some other suggestions:
-Kiwi with black or white pearl scales, etc.
-A ball-lock model with transparent FRN to show off the simple but cool mechanism.
-Shabaria with CF scales or black with white or silver inlays(like the vesuvius logo bug).
I personally would like to see a classy(as in sharp/elegant, not colorful/fun) Shabaria once before the models is phased out.

A few ideas:
Kiwi in black bone, with the Bug inlaid, similar to Case's Silverscript.
SS Cricket, with VG-10 and engraved grips.
Pride, with <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Forum 2003 on the escutcheon plate.

Something like this would have tho be accessible for all. While a fancied Chin would be nice, it's simply out of most <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>Fan's price range.

A stainless steel Cricket with some sort of engraving or inlay sounds pretty good to me.

A Pride with a Sypderbug or a Kiwi with CF inserts would be a the top of my list; cool, practical, and cheap enough that it is not much risk of being priced out of the avereage forum member's budget.

A PE Chinook with blue or dark green G10 and a silver 'bug inlay does give me a bit of a quiver in my liver though....... :D

I think the C72 Pride, with a <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> inlay(CF or MoP) would be the ideal Forum Model for 03... Toss on &quot;Forum Model '03, # of #&quot;

The blade and lock are legal pretty much woldwide the size is enough to be usefull, and it's cheap enough for everyone to buy.

It's only $50 USD Factory, so the inlay/engraving can't be much more... and Linda could get us nice prices.

mmmmmmmmmm......I kinda like Carlos' idea of a special Chinese folder. However - if price point is as much of an issue as it appears to be, a special kiwi sounds pretty cool to me.
