What are the modifications? What are the reasons for the modifications?

Hey Eclipse. It is a policy at Spyderco to try to "evolve" or "refine" models as improvements become possible in design or materials.

The eccentric pivot has proved to be an asset as has the offset arc ramp. Both of these are planned, but require new tooling.
