Today being 12-7, let's remember Pearl Harbor, of course. Back on topic: I just bought Steve Tarani's new book "Karambit" by Unique Publications, $16.95, at a Borders Books. (144 pages) The text is quite readable, and the photo sequences easy to follow and understand, IMHO. I found many of the techniques applicable to Civilian/ Matriarch/ Harpy knives, regarding defensive use. I was already planning to obtain James Keating's Civiilan video soon, and I am adding Tarani's videos to my wish list now. I know many will say Spyderco hooked-blade knives are not karambits/kerambits, but some of the karambits shown in the book have no finger loop, and like I said, SOME of the techniques are applicable. My background is not in martial arts, BTW, but police DT. OK, so I cannot spell "applicable".... it is apparently not possible to edit the title of a topic.
