hi.

still looking for that lightweight edc. cant really decide yet.

i like the delica. so i compared it to the pro-grip. i like the fact that prop-grip got a little thicker blade (the point of it) and i like the heavier click-sound when it opens :-) but i like the actual delica shape of the blade a little more. and i read something about the clip on the pro-grip isnt so good (hard to get out fast outta your pocket).

then i saw the endura and i like everything about it (haven't seen this in real life though only the net, local store didnt have it) so i got some questions about the endura (i refer to the lightweight version)

1. is the tip of the endura lightweight zytel as thick or thicker than the pro-edge?

2. endure lightweight zytel is 2.6 ounces. delica is 1.7 ounces. is this a big deal when carrying i.e. does the endura feel too big and heavy compared to the delica? (ive previously carred a knife that is 3.5 ounces and i think that a a little heavy actually, i guess most people think that is light)

i understand the the blade and size of the endure is bigger than delica, and it's a little bit heavier, but do you think that matters much when carrying it? from what i understand is still a pretty light folder.

if anyone have pictures with the endura and delica or pro-edge on the same page please post so i can compare, thanks!

Hey dali, the only time I notice my knife is when I am in my pocket getting something out change, keys etc. Yes the Endura is bigger but I have carried the Delica and the Military which is similar to the Endura in size and there really is no big difference. It is nice to have a big blade on you though, and I really don't think you will notice the weight or size. If you can't decide you could always buy both...hahaha!

Hi Dali, welcome
I am on my 3rd Endura FRN. My only edc, both in the city and in the woods. The blade is anice shape, with a little more beef than the Delica. Tip-up carry, too, which I prefer, and great steel.

I did use one of those Pro Grips(Pro-Venators) once, the rubber inside the clip almost tore my hip pocket off!

Good luck, Dave

Only had the Endura a short time, and love it.

The Delica was a faithful EDC for 3yrs, and is now serving my friend. The tip was busted by my father, but other than that it survived pretty well(considered how many times it was dropped and what it hit).

The Endura is a bigger version, and I don't even notice the weight. I carried my calypso jr in left, and would like the endura in tip down(too bad, eh?). Some of the members here (ie Samo) use and swear by thier Endura every day.

Pro-Grip(FRN), Pro-Ven(SS w/ rubber), Wegner(jr and sr)... all have the same shape. I had a Wegner jr CE, traded it off to J Smith. I just didn't find any use for the thick blade and curve in too much daily use. It was good for kitchen, but not much else... Tim Wegner designed them for hunting.

Re: tips...

*Delica was fine till my father decided to mark a hole by twisting it in wood. It had already been dropped a couple times, open.
*Endura... tip thins out to as fine as the Delica, but starts farther back... making a more fragile tip. I can see it breaking if dropped open. Needle fine.
*Pro-grip/Ven, Wegner... Good thick point, well designed for jabbing into joints(for seperating game). don't see much danger in the tip, but it isn't needle sharp either.

Ever notice that you run out of money before month?

Hi Dali, I have a Delica and two Enduras. The Endura carries very well. Not heavy at all and fits comfortably in the pocket. I think you would be happy with either choice.

Weight in the pocket is a very subjective thing. It doesn't bother me at-all to carry my stainless Police model, which is fairly heavy. When I carry my (linerless) G-10 Police model (which is quite a bit lighter), I really don't notice much of a difference. When I carry my FRN Delica, I REALLY don't notice it.
