View Full Version : OT - Watching what we say on the forum

Gentle folks - I have noted that recently the tone and temper of the language in our posts has.... well let me just say that some are persuaded that our language might bear watching.

Given the increase of security measures taken by our esteemed law enforcement agencies - not to mention forum moderators - I thought perhaps the information at the address below might be of interest to some here.

Something smells fishy about that site. I'll do a little searching to verify. Maybe a little snopes.com search can turn up the truth.

Anyways, back to the original topic.

Chuck, a commendation is in order. Last time, I stepped in to try and settle things, this time you read my mind. Good show.

Everybody else, keep your cool. I don't know Ms. Simona from a hill of beans, and wouldn't know her if I saw her. Maybe she got a bad . They do happen, you know.

Simply keep the even keel that keeps people coming back, and all will be well. Let Sal & co. figure out the veracity of her claim, and in the meantime, relax.

OK? OK.

Never underestimate the impossible.

Good show gentlemen. I'll weigh in with you if I may. I saw a post awhile ago on the forum praising the absence of flaming going on, but recently it looks like we might be losing some of our composure.

Cheers all,

Jaxon

Weekend yet?

Thanks for the chuckle, Chuck,

The more serious timbre of the thread is well taken as well and like Sword and Shield, I prefer to wait this one out. I'm still hedging a small suspicion about the "Hot Model/Hot Topic/Thread" as it is and equate the projected return of Hoosiersharp103daddy and his hijinks with the timely appearance of the Joyful Girl from Prague - he's led us on stranger chases before! But then I've often been called paranoid. I prefer skeptical until hard proof is in hand. (The question is not whether you're paranoid; but whether you're paranoid enough!) Time will reveal all. In the meantime, please take note of the conspicuous absence of posting by yours truly on that particular thread.

I said earlier that this place is like a (second) home where you can say almost anything within reason and be treated with respect. 'Tis a fine group of souls here and the knowldge and experience impresses me daily.

Keep on postin' on! And remember that Golden Rule thingie as ya do!!

Guess I need to disarm before I use this:<img src="http://www.engr.uconn.edu/~mmartins/smilies/flamethrower.gif">
And Chuck, thanks again, and I'll return the favor in an e-mail once I find may "eyes".

<b>"Why that's almost as cute as a basket of heart-shaped kittens."</b>

Gang -

Kinda sad note here, I think.

I served this now pi$$ poor example

of a Constituitional Republic only to

be told I served the wrong cause ; why?

Our cherished freedom(s) are being

erodated away by politician(s) & the

foolish citizenry who(m) elect them

What cause did I serve to perchance

defend? I don't even know anymore.

Computers, "net spying", and the

invasion of privacy are commonplace,

paranoia, distrust, and byzantine

machinations in government are alarming

to me. If not to the rest of you.

I foresee a day when we'll all be lead

to Our prison cells & rubber rooms &

we'll ALL go along peaceably. Sad how

we talk about "sheeple" when We

ourselves are no more than that.

"Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as

to be purchased a the price of chains

and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God!

I know not course other's may take, but

as for me, give me LIBERTY or give me

DEATH!"

Oh, No, ATE!!! Are you sure? I always thought the quote was "Give me Librium or Give me Meth"

Ye have reminded me of a an earlier time, a time of conflict, chaos, rebirth and renewal. Dang I wish I could remember those days

Hmmmm.... Perhaps not so different from today, come to think of it. You can take the child out of the 60's, but you can't take the 60's out of the child

Hi all,
This is joyful danish boy thing Voxie from Denmark!!
No matter who, what or when, we should be able to act as gentlemen...That does not mean that we should talk like a bunch of girls, but that whatever we have to say is said with respect for the other person/s. And if one does not have anything good to say, don´t say anything....Thats also the way we kill trols here, right?!
Vox.
Now if you are a girl on this forum, you can say anything you like as long as it´s nice and prudent!! -And as long as you promise to come back and post again...We need more girls that dig bugs!!

java dude - ya gotta let go of Correl!!
BTW - you might try Irfanview - free download, and I think it might do some of the stuff you might be trying to do.

I suppose, given that I have never posted a pic, I should give it try - So I can walk the talk and not just jawjack here. ][

Edit - Hey! It worked. The pic is of a Surefire M2 - No, I don't have one. Used Irfanview to reduce the size and convert the pic from a bitmap to a jpeg image.
KL!!
Now I need to take some pics of my Spydies and show em to y'all <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
