Ever since I read this I been wanting this camera but not bad enough for the price on it. This excerpt is from Stuff magazine's January 2003 issue.
"2.Canon S230 ELPH $499
Behold the world's tiniest three-megapixel digital camera. You can record tiny three-minute movies--or, you know, just take pictures. High-precision auto focus and auto exposure mean your photos will be magnificently sharp. This comes in handy when photographing knives, which we do more often than we care to admit. www.usa.canon.com "
Just thought that was interesting when I read it and immediately thought of posting it here, where you can see lots of people posting pics of their own knives

Welcome back! My highly esteemed younger
colleague, we've needed some "youthful
insight" here of late & there's no
better way to start than with an "OT
post"! Get THIS : Canon was THE camera
of choice of combat photographers of
late, as their resolution was so great.
I was eyeballin' a SONY micro-digi cam
that put my "Cold war era" 110 micro
to shame ( until I can break the Spydie
"clutch" It'll be the ONLY camera I
may EVER have owned!) I guess I'll
just walk into a Walgreens or some
photo shop someday & the "cluck" will
say : "Sorry, we don't carry film
anymore, ol' timer!" ( and here in
the sometime frozen "state" of Florida,
such rejoiners from the natives are
commonplace! And they say : Don't "dis"
me! PARDON ME!) Advise to you, kurtis :
GET THAT CAR! You're gonna need it in
the "rat race" that adults call "life".
There'll be PLENTY OF TIME FOR THAT
NEXT "SPYDIE" FIX!!!!
-AET ( was ATE to you, youngster!)

boo hissssss!
nikon 885- my dream camera, sort of.
but I'm not into digital as much. SLR is great for me.
and if you're really into JUST knife pics, or little junk like that, I think that 3megapixels is overkill. Unless you are taking like, 8x10" pics of knives or something... and... well having portrait sized pics of knives is sort of disturbing...

Allen, I am gonna follow your advice closely and get a car, and a nice one at that A Mini Cooper S. And don't worry, I don't have a digital camera either so I'll be walking into Walgreen's with film with you
And midget you just put an idea in my head that made me laugh. It would be funny if one walked into someone's office or cubicle or whatever at their workplace and instead of having portraits of their children they had some of their knives on their desk.
