Just check this out!

They sell those for 9$! Not that it would worth more...

I wonder if Spyderco knows about this...

Perhaps part of the reason why the Navigator was discontinued?

tacticals> folders> experimental pocket fighter

---------
This skeleton handle pocket lockblade with alloy handles has a fully serrated edge blade that packs super emergency task cutting power. On the reverse you'll find a stainless steel pocket clip high set for deep in the pocket carry. *To open this knife from the clipped in the pocket position reach in the pocket and pinch the hole, pull the knife from pocket and snap your wrist down to deploy the handle into your hand.

*Ask any knife combat instructor: This pinching the blade-hole grip is the ultimate hold for this knife and makes it more maneuverable and deadlier than knives two to three times it size that have standard handles.

Specs
Blade Steel 440 Stainless (57 RC)
Blade Length 2"
Length Open 5.5"
Blade Thickness .10"
Weight 2 oz

It is a cheap knockoff, not an authentic Spyderco.

Spyderco should have a court date.I saw a Frost something or another in a hardware store today that had a perfect round hole.

I learn something new everyday, even though I don't want to. Jeff

What you have there,DiALEX, is a CHICOM

"rip off" of the Nav! These ersatz

have been rife since the advent of

companies like Jaguar, MASTER & several

other's of un-worthy mention. They even

plagiarize their OWN ideas! Not much

in the quality Dept. & hence the price!

And there's no shortage of co.'s like

www.knifezilla.com to flog'em either!

My advise to CHICOM knife buyers is

CAVEAT EMPTOR ( buyer beware!)

Thanx for the "heads up". Spyderco is probably the most copied knife company of the past two decades.

Just checked out the site. Yep,made in China Home-Shopping specials. Good luck in going after them,Sal. LRI has been chasing the copycat Photons for years w/varying luck. China doesn't have to follow our copyright rules,so they can knock off anything they want. IANAL,but I'd say your best bet would prolly be the distributor here in the States. That, and have everyone pass the word not to buy this stuff.

Those junks are for non educated persons (in knife matters, of course). It happens oftely to talk with someone about my spidies and he replies "why should I pay 60$ for this knife when I can get a similar one for only 5?". When I start explaining about steel, edge retention, manufacturing, other materials and stuff, I usually get a "oh, but I wouldn't use the knife that much (!)"
I guess the only solution is to convince people to go for the real thing.
Would you ride a Chinese Harley?

With apologies to Dynaryder, I wouldn't ride an AMERICAN Harley

Try a hopped-up Twin Cam. Might surprise you.

Nah, I like to get where I'm going with no walking involved

Seriously though, the V-Rod stirs my soul; now if it just weren't as expensive as THREE other bikes put together...

Zrexxer,

I was just lurking but now I have to speak up. I suspect you don't have much experience with Harleys. I've been riding my '93 Dyna since June '93 and havent had to walk yet. Nothing's broken or warn out.

Don't know what to say about having your soul stirred by the V-Rod. It may be made by Harley but you couldn't give me one for one third the price of mine.

Anyway, ride safe.

Zrexxer: Only bikes that ever made me walk were my 2 Buells. I won't even get started on that rant.

jaxon: Local HD shop has *five* V-Rods on the floor. I wouldn't touch one. Should've put out a street legal VR1000.

BTW,wonder how much Jessie James would charge for a set of custom alum wheels w/spokes that looked like Spydie blades? Some 5-Civilian-spoke wheels would look sweeeettt! Maybe if I win the lottery.

I've only been riding motorcycles since 1979, so no, I don't know that much about them

But each to his own, I really don't care as long as you RIDE it! lol. I've got a friend at work that's a "Motor Company" type, and his 5 year old bike has like 150 miles on it because it lives on his living room carpet when it isn't going to rallies in an enclosed trailer. Hah!

Of course, come to think of it, some of my Spydercos are "Trailer Queens" too...

p.s. Dyna - i LIKE the Civilian wheel idea! That would be badass. Of course, you'd have to pay unto Sal what is Sal's (royalties!)

Zrexxer,

I'll take that bet. My first was a Mustang, about, hmm, 1958.

Anyway I agree, it don't matter what you ride as long as you ride.

Ride safe and free Bro.
