I recently got a stainless, serrated, CoPilot as a Christmas gift. I must say it is one fine knife. I'm thinking of buying a Howard Viele Micarta-- my question--I'm left handed.Would this grip be uncomfortable?I've only seen scans of the Viele--I have never had one in the hand.

Thanks--- rfo1

The Viele is a great knife. It does have one drawback that kinda sucks, and that is that it is very right hand oriented, not a big deal to me, I'm right handed and the design rocks.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
As I sit here with mine, I must say, it is possible to open left handed, and really not all that tough, I imagine it would be even easier if I were a lefty. It is a bit awkward though, and I really wouldn't recommend it. You should probably find someone that has one that will let you look at it before you make a decision.

My Howard Viele is by far the best daily carry knife I own, but it's definetly a right handed knife.

Hi Rfo1. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Sorry about the &quot;right handed Viele&quot;.

Thanks all for your advice--guess I'll just have to appeal to Spyderco to bring out a southpaw Howard Viele!!
